Class Dinner Was a Success!

Our little class recently met for dinner at Top of the River. We had a small, but wonderful group of classmates and families.

If you were not able to attend, you were missed.

Keep plugged in, as Marvin is already interested in getting another gathering together.

OOPS!!

You know I forgot about our blog here? I got so busy after our last dinner. My apologies to any classmates who have joined in the last six months and think I have totally dropped the ball...I have!

With school starting back and my family getting more into a regular routine I will be putting more effort into our class stuff. Speaking of class stuff, we will be due a twenty-year in a couple of years. There have been a few who have paid into the class fund. Thank you. The account continues to remain open, and I will be sending out a report soon of the actual balance. No money has been spent from the account in several months. Remember you can make deposits into the account year-round, so you don't have to make one lump-sum deposit. Get with Miranda if you have questions.

I don't know of any class news as much as Misty Lawson got married, Helen Moss had her baby, and Marvin Orr had his baby girl since our last dinner. Alan Pitts was found on facebook, and Brad Moore has joined the facebook family as well. If you have anything to share with the class at large, please chime in!

Each dinner we have more class members rejoin the group. Jennifer Burns, Michelle Webster and Christy Givens this year. We hope to see more as the years progress. There were several members missing from the group at the last dinner, and we hope to all be again soon.

Please check your calendars and talk amongst your pals about a possible date this fall. Several class members are interested in getting together, and we don't want to leave anyone out!

CLASS DINNER NEXT WEEKEND

Tell all your friends on facebook, spread the word...I'm looking forward to seeing you on the 20th. Please plan to bring a $2 cover charge for the use of the Billings Room! This is great news!!!

CLASS NEWS

Brenda had suggested a while back to start a class newsletter. I hope you all like this format of the blog as a way to share news. If you like the blog, become a follower. You do not have to have a Google Account. I use my yahoo account. If you are having problems, let me know...

We have good response on our dinner so far. You still have until the 5th of February to get your name to me if you are planning to attend. If you see a classmate, talk to them about coming. We learned recently that time is short and precious.

Speaking of, Renee Wiley Payne's dad is in the hospital at St Vincent's East. He has been there for two weeks now, and this time is extremely hard for the family. Please pray for his recovery and for the family's strength to keep going.

On a lighter note, Ginny Stanley Bass is having a Tupper Ware party at her home on January 30 at 2:00. Please contact Ginny if you are interested in attending, or if you would like to see a catalog. Her number is 205-901-0215.

CLASS DINNER!

How about a dinner, classmates? Mark your calendars for Feb 20th and let Miranda know if you can make this date. We have a reservation for Montana's in Lincoln. I would love to see you all there.
Right now we have seating for 20. If we need more, we can get the Billings Room. I will give a final headcount to the restaurant on Feb 5. If we have 30 people or more, there will be a 2.00 cover charge per person to cover the reservation fee. This charge will only apply if we need to use the Billings Room to accommodate the large crowd and will be due at the door.

Don't forget to get your $25.00 fee in to cover the reunion. It is $25.00 per year until the reunion to cover the rentals and deposits on the facility we choose. This amount covers you and your spouse/guest. If you haven't paid your fee for last year, you can pay it next month at the dinner.
